A conflict of interest (COI) occurs when professional judgment concerning the evaluation, interpretation, or publication of research may be influenced by a secondary interest such as financial, personal, institutional, or academic relationships.
All participants in the publication process—including authors, reviewers, and editors—are required to disclose any potential conflicts of interest.
Authors must disclose any financial or non-financial relationships that may influence the interpretation of their research.
Examples of potential conflicts include:
research funding or sponsorship
employment or consultancy relationships
honoraria or financial support
personal or professional relationships
institutional affiliations that may influence the research
Authors are required to include a Conflict of Interest Statement in their manuscript.
If no conflict exists, authors should state clearly:
“The authors declare no conflict of interest.”
Peer reviewers must disclose any potential conflicts of interest before accepting a review assignment.
Reviewers should decline to review a manuscript if:
they have collaborated with the authors recently
they work at the same institution as the authors
they have personal or professional relationships with the authors
they have financial or academic interests related to the manuscript
All manuscripts received for review must be treated as confidential documents.
Editors are responsible for ensuring a fair and unbiased editorial process.
Editors must avoid handling manuscripts in which they have conflicts of interest, including situations where:
the manuscript is submitted by a colleague, collaborator, or student
the editor has a personal or professional relationship with the author
the editor has financial or academic interests related to the manuscript
In such cases, editorial responsibility will be transferred to another editor.
All disclosed conflicts of interest will be evaluated by the editorial board.
If necessary, the journal may request additional information from the authors, reviewers, or editors to ensure transparency and integrity in the publication process.
J-EDUCAT follows internationally accepted publication ethics principles and adheres to the ethical guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
The journal is committed to ensuring transparency and maintaining trust in the scholarly publishing process.
Conflict of interest disclosures will be published with the article when applicable.
