J-EDUCAT: Journal of Educational Studies (e-ISSN: 3023-8145)
J-EDUCAT: Journal of Educational Studies is committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity and ethical publishing.
The journal strictly prohibits plagiarism and other forms of academic misconduct.
Plagiarism includes the use of another person's ideas, text, data, figures, or research results without proper acknowledgment or citation.
Examples of plagiarism include:
copying text without citation
paraphrasing ideas without proper attribution
self-plagiarism or redundant publication
submitting previously published work as new research
using figures, tables, or data without permission or citation
All manuscripts submitted to J-EDUCAT are screened using plagiarism detection software before being sent for peer review.
The editorial team carefully reviews similarity reports to determine whether any overlap constitutes plagiarism or acceptable scholarly citation.
As a general guideline, the journal considers a similarity rate of up to 20% acceptable, provided that all sources are properly cited.
However, the similarity percentage alone does not automatically indicate plagiarism. The editorial board evaluates the context of similarities, including:
references and quotations
commonly used methodological descriptions
properly cited materials
Manuscripts exceeding the acceptable similarity level may be returned to the authors for revision or rejected.
Many journals use thresholds around 15-20% similarity, while editorial review determines whether overlap is legitimate or unethical.
If plagiarism is detected, the journal may take one or more of the following actions:
rejection of the manuscript
request for revision and correction
withdrawal of the manuscript from the review process
retraction of a published article
notification to the authors’ affiliated institutions in cases of serious misconduct
J-EDUCAT follows internationally accepted publication ethics standards and the ethical guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
The journal is committed to ensuring that all published research meets the highest standards of academic integrity.
Authors are encouraged to check their manuscripts using plagiarism detection software before submission.
